AMI (SNOW DAY) PACKETS

What is aLternative methods of instruction (ami)? 

Harmony Grove School District has received a waiver from the Arkansas Department of Education to use Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMI) for up to 5 days when school is not in session due to inclement weather or other emergency related days when it is not safe to transport students to school. Using AMI days will allow the school to be closed while the students are still learning at home and those days will not have to be made up at the end of the year.

Each student will receive a packet of work to be completed in the event of the school being closed. Five packets will be sent home labeled Day1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 4, and Day 5. On the first AMI day students should complete the packet marked Day 1. If the school is closed another day (whether consecutive or not), the student should complete the next packet in order. The students will have 5 days after returning to school to turn in the assigned work. If the student does not complete the work, he/she will be counted ABSENT for the AMI day and will receive a grade of 0 for each of the assignments.

All students will receive a printed packet of assignments to keep at home. Please put these packets of work in a safe place. The assignments for each school can be found by clicking on the appropriate links on the left.
